Executive Summary
Dr. Malinna Jusoh is an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu with nearly two decades of academic and research experience in algal biotechnology, molecular biology, genomics, and transcriptomics. She obtained her MSc in Plant Sciences from the University of Oxford and her PhD in Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. Her research focuses on microalgae for bioactive compounds, sustainable aquaculture, and environmental biotechnology, supported by both international and national grants, including SATREPS-COSMOS (JICA-JST). She has published widely in reputable journals and contributed intellectual property through patents and copyrights in microalgae feed formulation, carotenoid extraction, and innovative teaching tools. Beyond research, she is actively engaged in knowledge transfer through invited talks, keynote addresses, and community outreach. Dr. Malinna is also an award-winning educator and researcher, recognized with multiple medals in research, innovation, teaching, and service excellence. She has successfully supervised postgraduate students to completion and continues to mentor the next generation of scientists, advancing both scientific knowledge and sustainable solutions for aquaculture and the environment.
