Executive Summary
Samsuri Abdullah is an Associate Professor of Air Quality at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), where he has been teaching Environmental Technology since 2018. Born on 13 November 1990 in Kota Tinggi, Johor, he completed his primary and secondary education locally before graduating from UMT with a Bachelor of Technology (Environment) in 2014 with First Class Honours. He completed his PhD in Environmental Technology and Management through a fast-track programme in 2017, specialising in air quality. His research addresses ambient and indoor air quality and noise pollution, with strong relevance to environmental technology and management. He has produced 162 scholarly outputs (journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, and technical reports) and has led or co-led 16 funded research projects with a cumulative value of approximately MYR 1.1 million. He has also provided institutional leadership for the THE World University Rankings (SDGs) and UI GreenMetrics. His portfolio integrates research excellence, competitive funding success, and translational impact through consultancy and capacity-building in data analysis.
